I accept. I've been trying hard to move Monta and make the team better overall, but I just could not find a deal that would get him out individually. Bringing Yao in at center will boost our team greatly and should help mature Curry's game that much faster. Kevin martin is a scorer at heart, but his offensive ability is not going to take away from the players around him. Battier is a defensive stopped that a team full of gunners needs.
I tried to convince him to swap the aging Battier with Ariza, but he would not so we compromised on two mid round picks (unless something drastic happens)

How did you guys agree that Shane Battier + 2 1st round picks = Trevor Ariza?
Houston gets recked in this deal, just the 3 players for the 3 players still would favour GSW.

I looked at it with real world intentions. Yao has been injured like three years straight and Battier is aging and losing the step he once had. There is no certainty that Yao will return and be even close to what he once was in real life. The two first round picks are basically insurance for that.

I'm hesitant because Daryl Morey is a new GM and has instantly traded the entire core of his team. I'll need a bit more persuasion if I'm going to accept this, and so far all Houston has done is post the trade without any explanation and break a rule by posting a link to another sim league in the shoutbox.
I also think GSW comes out on top of this trade too, despite Yao's limited time remaining as a professional.
