Why would you risk losing both big men in free agency? ?

Why would you risk losing both big men in free agency? ? OK, now, if Bosh leaves then he leaves, that has nothing to do with this, if Lee leaves I will cry a little, offer some deals, him included, and if aI didn't do this all I'd have next year is Thabeet, who could be good, but not Great yet, if at all.

But thats the point im trying to make. You go from being a playoff team with Devin Harris at the point (locked up for four years) to damn near a one year rental from Bosh AND Lee now, making your team have to enter rebuild mode after one year.

I dont even know what to think of Blake's trades anymore. It is not really bad but it leaves you without a PG. For LAL he gets a proper PG and a more balanced team. I guess I accept. btw, Mitch you should be a salesman of the used car variety.

Well this trade will obviously seal a championship, if it was not already sealed, for the Lakers
LAL has traded Derek Fisher for Michael Conley for David Lee for Devin Harris
OKC has traded Russell Westbrook for Devin Harris for David Lee
I personally think its a really dumb trade for OKC, but I guess I'll accept
Also, Mr. Bowman... if the person you are trading with complements how good of a trade you are making, you're probably getting ripped off.

Thabeet is not a starter to this point so seeking a center is understandable. That said, I am not sure Lee is a center. He and Bosh will definitely be interesting to watch defensively.
Besides that, a gap at center is being addressed by creating a gap at PG. C is a position that, with a player like Bosh at PF, a fairly low paid player who can strictly defend is all that's required. Lee is the opposite of that however. He and Bosh are not complementary players. Though I suspect that issue will not be a long lasting one, since there is a real likelihood of each leaving OKC after the year.
All that said, in the end, I sense the OKC to the Harrison Barnes sweepstakes bus is rolling too fast to interfere with, so considering the actual value is fairly close, I will accept.

Here are my comparisons of your team before and now, the players are compared by similar skill set and not by position.
Kevin Durant > Chris Bosh Russell Westbrook > OJ Mayo Jeff Green < David Lee James Harden = James Harden Serge Ibaka > Jordan Farmar
Now here are my comparisons based on your starting five before and now.
Russell Westbrook > Jordan Farmar James Harden < OJ Mayo Kevin Durant > James Harden Jeff Green < Chris Bosh Serge Ibaka < David Lee
Take that for how you wish but it's interesting comparing you current team to your team from before.

QFT, I don't know how LAL keeps managing to make all these trades. I'll post my vote later, gotta think this one over.

btw, Mitch you should be a salesman of the used car variety. Mitch is like a double-speaking politician from a book by George Orwell ;D ^^ hehe I think this trade is pretty fair up until you reach the contracts, where it's actually more fair for the Lakers because Devin Harris doesn't expire any time soon. I'm willing to accept though, but I don't think OKC will have anything near the level of success he needs to re-sign Bosh & Lee this off season unless he makes some moves to fill out his lineup.
